Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Audit Partner to provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, quality assurance, and client relationship management across the firm’s audit and assurance practice.

The successful candidate may be based outside Qatar and will work closely with the local leadership team and engagement teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality audit services in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicable regulatory requirements.

The role requires periodic travel to Doha whenever client engagements, regulatory matters, quality reviews, business development activities, or other operational requirements necessitate in-person participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee audit and assurance engagements across a portfolio of clients.
  • Act as Engagement Partner and provide strategic direction to engagement teams.
  • Review audit planning, execution, risk assessments, and final deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS, and applicable professional standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to audit managers and senior staff.
  • Support the firm’s quality control and risk management framework.
  • Participate in client acceptance and continuance decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to practice growth.
  • Participate in Audit Committee meetings, Board presentations, and executive-level discussions when required.
  • Conduct periodic visits to Qatar to support client engagements, quality reviews, strategic meetings, and regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum 15–20 years of progressive external audit experience, including significant experience at Senior Manager, Director, or Partner level.
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS and ISA.
  • Experience serving large corporate, group, and regulated entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex audit engagements and manage client relationships at executive level.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business development capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Previous experience within an international accounting network or recognized audit firm is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with GCC business and regulatory environments is preferred.

Travel Requirement

The position allows for a remote working arrangement; however, the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to Doha on short notice whenever business, client, quality assurance, regulatory, or operational requirements necessitate physical presence.
