Safety Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a safe working environment, monitoring compliance with health and safety requirements, and promoting safe work practices across the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily activities to ensure compliance with established health and safety procedures and standards.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Recommend and follow up on appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure that employees and workers follow required safety procedures and use appropriate Personal
• Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.
• Conduct and assist with toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety awareness activities.
• Report, document, and follow up on incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Assist in maintaining safety records, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors and operational teams to address safety concerns and improve workplace safety.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage employees to maintain safe working practices.

Requirements

• 3 – 5 years of experience in a Safety Officer role or a similar health and safety position.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to identify hazards and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare clear safety reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and management.
• Currently residing in Qatar with a valid Qatar ID (QID).
